Make every rep count.
- 01
Grab the dumbbells with a neutral grip (palms facing each other). Rest the ends in your hip crease and sit on an incline bench.
- 02
Carefully lie back, keeping the weights close to your chest. Take a breath, then press the dumbbells up to a stable top position.
- 03
Set your upper body: pull your shoulder blades slightly back and down (don’t shrug). Keep a small bend in your elbows and lock that elbow angle in.
- 04
Lower the dumbbells out and wide in a slow, controlled arc until they’re around chest level—let your chest stretch, not your shoulders.
- 05
Reverse by squeezing your pecs and bringing the dumbbells back along the same arc to the top.
- 06
At the top, stop just short of letting the dumbbells touch, then flow into the next rep with control.
