Make every rep count.

  1. 01

Set up on the Roman chair with your back firmly against the pad and your legs hanging straight down.

  2. 02

Grab the handles and brace your core (think “ribs down”) to keep your lower back from arching. This is your start.

  3. 03

Keeping your legs straight, lift them by contracting your lower abs—avoid swinging or using momentum.

  4. 04

Raise until your legs reach about parallel to the floor (or slightly higher if you can do it without leaning back).

  5. 05

Pause briefly, then lower slowly and under control to the bottom—don’t let your legs drop. That’s 1 rep.

  6. 06

Repeat for your target reps, keeping tension in your abs and steady breathing throughout.
