Muscles at work
Make every rep count.
- 01
Set the cable pulley to the highest position and clip on a straight bar.
- 02
Stand tall with feet about hip-width, grab the bar overhand (palms down), and take a small step back to create tension.
- 03
Hinge slightly at the hips with a neutral spine and keep your elbows pinned to your sides (don’t let them drift forward).
- 04
Brace your core, then press the bar down by straightening your elbows until your arms are nearly locked out and your triceps are fully contracted.
- 05
Pause briefly, then return slowly to the start—control the weight and stop when your elbows are bent but still tucked.
- 06
Repeat for your target reps, keeping shoulders down and avoiding swinging or using your body to move the weight.
