Make every rep count.

  1. 01

Stand tall holding a dumbbell in each hand at your sides. Keep a soft bend in your knees, brace your core, and set your shoulders back.

  2. 02

Take a controlled step out to the left. As your foot lands, sit your hips back and down into a lateral squat on the left leg while the other leg stays straighter.

  3. 03

Keep your chest up, back flat, and eyes forward. Your working knee should track in line with your toes—don’t let it drift forward past them or collapse inward.

  4. 04

Drive through your left heel to push the floor away and return to standing.

  5. 05

Repeat to the right side, alternating for your target reps.

  7. 07

Move slowly on the step and the return—this lift challenges balance and control.

  8. 08

If balance is tricky, start with lighter dumbbells (or bodyweight) until the pattern feels solid.
