Muscles at work
Make every rep count.
- 01
Set a bench in front of you and place your hands on it about shoulder-width apart. Start tall-kneeling with toes tucked and knees under your hips.
- 02
Step one leg back at a time into a strong incline plank: legs straight, core braced, glutes tight, and head/neck neutral (eyes on the bench).
- 03
Lower with control: pull your shoulder blades slightly back and down, then bend your elbows to bring your chest toward the bench. Keep your body in a straight line—don’t let your hips sag.
- 04
Stop when your chest lightly touches the bench (or you reach a comfortable depth without shrugging your shoulders).
- 05
Press up: drive your palms into the bench and straighten your elbows, finishing with shoulders stacked over wrists.
- 06
Repeat for your target reps, keeping the same steady tempo each time.
