Make every rep count.

  1. 01

Set both cable pulleys to the lowest position and choose a weight you can control.

  2. 02

Grab the handles with palms slightly up (lightly supinated). Step forward into a split stance and brace your core.

  3. 03

Start with your arms slightly out to your sides at about a 45° angle. Keep your chest tall and shoulders down and back.

  4. 04

Sweep the handles up and in to meet around chest height, squeezing your pecs at the top. Don’t slam the handles together.

  5. 05

Keep a soft bend in your elbows the whole time—your elbow angle stays mostly fixed. The movement should come from the shoulders, not from bending and straightening the arms.

  6. 06

Under control, open your arms back out along the same low-to-high path until you feel a strong stretch across the chest.

  7. 07

Repeat for reps, maintaining steady tension and avoiding excessive torso sway or shrugging.
