Make every rep count.
- 01
Grip the parallel bars with a neutral/inward grip and set them about shoulder-width if adjustable.
- 02
Step or jump up to support your body on straight arms, shoulders down and back, chest up.
- 03
To keep the emphasis on triceps, stay tall and upright—avoid leaning forward. Let your legs hang naturally (don’t swing).
- 04
Lower under control by bending your elbows straight back, keeping your gaze forward and your torso vertical.
- 05
Descend until your upper arms are roughly parallel to the floor (elbows about level with shoulders) or as deep as your shoulders comfortably allow.
- 06
Press back up smoothly to the start, stopping just short of locking out at the top.
- 07
Repeat for reps, keeping the movement slow, steady, and strict.
