Make every rep count.

  1. 01

Set the bar in a rack just below shoulder height and place the safety pins just above hip level.

  2. 02

Grip the bar evenly, step under it, and rest it firmly on your upper traps (or slightly lower on the rear delts for a low-bar style). Brace your core and stand tall.

  3. 03

Start the rep by slightly bending your knees, then hinge at the hips—push your hips back while keeping a neutral spine and your chest proud. Keep the bar tight to your back and your weight balanced over the midfoot.

  4. 04

Lower until your torso is near parallel to the floor (or as far as your hamstring flexibility allows without rounding your back).

  5. 05

Stand up by driving through your whole foot and extending your hips, returning to a strong, upright position.

  6. 06

Repeat for your target reps, keeping each rep controlled and consistent.
