Make every rep count.
- 01
Stand tall with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a pair of dumbbells at your sides with a neutral grip (palms facing in). Set your shoulders down and back.
- 02
Inhale and brace your core. With a slight bend in the elbow, lift one dumbbell straight in front of you, moving only at the shoulder (no swinging).
- 03
Raise until your arm is at or just above shoulder height (parallel to the floor).
- 04
Pause briefly, then lower slowly and under control back to your side.
- 05
Switch arms and repeat—both sides = 1 rep.
- 06
Form cues: Keep your torso still, wrists neutral, and use a controlled tempo to avoid momentum.
