Make every rep count.
- 01
Clip a V-bar onto the lat pulldown and sit with your thighs secured under the pad. Set your feet flat and brace your core.
- 02
Grab the handle with a neutral grip (palms facing each other). Start tall with your chest up and arms extended—don’t shrug.
- 03
Begin by pulling your shoulder blades down and back (think “put them in your back pockets”), then drive your elbows down as you pull the handle toward your upper chest.
- 04
Stop when your elbows are roughly in line with your torso. Keep your torso mostly still—avoid leaning way back or using momentum.
- 05
Slowly return to the top with control, letting your lats lengthen while keeping your shoulders from rising.
- 06
Repeat for the prescribed reps, maintaining smooth, controlled tempo throughout.
